One Body

Just came back from our first ever Youth Committee Retreat! Really feel blessed by the weekend - hanging out with the fellow leaders, who are actually my closest friends, spending time mucking around (mostly playing Bridge and Seven), worshipping and praying, reading the Word, sharing about our lives...

Sitting in the church office now, kinda miss waking up to breakfast on the porch, and playing round after round of bridge.

Collectively, we have years of shared history (lots of "remember that time when...", "Was that 2009? Or 2010?", "Omg that was so long ago"), and I think that is part of the bond we share. Somehow we are still friends even though we are all sooooo different - personalities, styles of interaction, opinions, likes, dislikes, strengths, flaws. I'm sure I've argued/fought/clashed with every person in the Youth Comm sometime in the past haha

"Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. Are al apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all intepret?"

Each of us have different gifts and personalities - a distinctly unique makeup. Yet it is God's plan that we come together to form one body! One entity!

"For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body - Jews or Greeks, slaves or free - and all were made to drink of one Spirit...  God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose"

We are different in the best ways, but same in the most important way - we believe in the same God and have the same Spirit within us.

Praying this for all our committees, all our Care Groups, Chrysalis Youth Ministry, Christalite, the Methodist Church, all churches in Singapore, and in the whole world!

Hehehe
And a pic from Saturday morning when Ps Andrew from Kingdomcity Singapore
came to share with us! Alex and WJ also came to join us :)
