Flashbacks

September / October - thankful for all the times spent with family, friends, colleagues. Made for an exciting two months :)

Had a birthday surprise with a crazy bunch of people - who, knowing my #1 pet peeve, sang/shouted the birthday song in public, causing me to almost die of embarrassment. But they got me a Cedele carrot cake and held the surprise in Toast Box, so I couldn't be genuinely angry with them right? Hahaha

So much love for these people!

Ahhhhhh the sisterhood!
And the Low sisterhood also had a little staycation - gotta love spacing out and enjoying the sun on a weekend, with the people I grew up with. Also in attendance was the little to-be-nephew. We had grand plans to stay up late and talk and play games, but we all fell asleep about midnight. We're old.

Lounging
Some surprises at work - on the day I went to cover CommCare! Really didn't expect it, but it was such a nice mid-afternoon treat :) It was Ranee's birthday too :)

Blissed out making a wish
And the actual day - exercised with my Mom (we did a bungee workout class!) and then some shopping after. Dinner with Alex in the evening, Seoul Yummy was so yummy.
Seriously aching the next day

Haakon!
At work we had the AHD anniversary where we did a dance - it was so funny. If you told me 8 months ago that I would be dancing as part of work, I would've laughed. But yea, we did! And it was fun getting in the retro gear and getting our hair done in the Academia toilet.

At the photobooth!

Before saying goodbye to the hair / makeup
I reached home at like 10ish and then we had work the next day, but we made breakfast together and it made working on Saturday a lot better :)

So yum
Recently, Sitthichai also finished his Alpha course which is sooooooo awesome! Thankful for a new friend and brother-in-Christ :) Was really nice hearing the testimonies of all the participants - God works in amazing ways, doesn't He?

Daryl's mouth not in the picture hehehe
Another highlight of October was being able to preach at service - I honestly still find it nerve-racking++ and anxiety-inducing++, but it's often in the tasks that are clearly bigger than us, that we see God's grace and provision. So thankful that somehow everything was okay, and even though I was still editing stuff 45 minutes before the 1st service, it went relatively smoothly..

One of these is not like the others
Something's a-miss (get it get it?)

I like the colours in this pic
And then yesterday a very unfortunate thing happened - I sprained my ankle badly during floorball (*cries*) and it's now swollen and it looks like I have a tumour in my left ankle. Or like I have a unilateral cankle. Sigh.

Finding it hard to walk now without obviously limping. Spent 6 hours at the staff clinic getting it checked out and getting an X-Ray done, which said "no obvious fracture / no significant widening of ankle joint space" Yay! Super super super duper thankful because the doctor took one look at my foot and said - 'it doesn't look like it's just a sprain dear'. Choosing to believe that God healed my ankle and caused it to be less severe than what might have been!

In any case, take one look at my left ankle and you'll think it's the foot of a pregnant lady.

Today I was community ambulant with an umbrella
... before I was relegated to a wheelchair because I "walk too slowly"
On MC for the next 1-2 days - using this time to rest up and hopefully get back on my feet again soon :)
