More than a year since my last post!
😅
Anyway, I suppose a big highlight in the past year was travel.
Although I never considered myself to be a 'travel' person (I am quite happy in Singapore), it is nice to take a trip every now and then. And now I get to travel with Tim which is a new experience!
We went on our honeymoon in April/May last year - a total of 22 days and I took a month off work, that was very nice... Total of 6 flights, 4 states, 6 accommodations - we explored parts of North America.
The first leg of the trip was.... Vancouver
A 14 hour flight from Singapore - thank God it was direct. It was interesting flying off at 9am SG timing and reaching there on the "same day" in the morning. Vancouver was 15 hours behind SG. We were so tired that day I think we ended up sleeping at 6pm haha
It felt really surreal arriving in Canada... it finally felt like the trip was starting!
Highlights of Vancouver (2ish days)
- Stanley Park - we did this on Tim's birthday - rented bicycles and cycled around Stanley Park. Bought a mac & cheese from Whole Foods and had that for a snack midway through cycling. Really awesome sitting together enjoying the mountain and city view :)
- Capilano Park - it was a park with many suspension bridges and the weather was just lovely...
